I am back on track sort of.  I zumba and I body pump but I don't have the motivation to do any of the machines or free weights because I have to do it on my own and I know I won't do it right and I won't push myself.

    Hi all :)

Since I've been at Gold's gym I've lost about 30lbs.  I am trying to lose that last stubborn 10lbs :), but I have the hardest time doing cardio.  I get bored so quickly and I just stop.  I do weight training and I love doing that, but cardio is just hard for me.  Can't seem to stay motivated.  I know cardio is important, so if anyone has any tips or suggestions to not get bored doing cardio,  that would help me out tremendously.

    Thank you,
     Latara

Have you tried the cardio cinema theater, watch a movie and time flies while you are exercising. I also trade out my cardio piece to not get bored  ex:
Start with the arc trainer, then go to treadmill at an incline, then end up on the bike. You should be able to get in at least 45 min this way.

hope that this helps, good luck.

I have the opposite problem.  I love cardio.  I love the classes.  Have you tried the zumba classes.  They are awesome and you definitely will not get bored.   I have trouble with the weights.  I don't have any motivation at all when it comes to the machines and that's where I get bored.  Any suggestions on that?

Try to swicht up your weight routine every time you hit the floor. Try new exercises your never done before. Ask people around you for advice on new exercises and for a spot. Making a friend on the floor is also a great way to motivate and correct on form.

Hi, I work out at the Mt. Dora location most mornings during the week.  I would love to find someone to meet up with, whose schedule allows for the same time frame.  I can meet at either 8:30 or 9:30 Monday through Friday.  I attend two or three classes every week, including cycling, body pump, and either body flow or yoga.  I also have a work out routine, including weights, abs, lunges, etc.  I really enjoy working out and even "zoning out" alone sometimes.  But I also love company ("two are better than one").  I find it motivating to know that someone will be there waiting and it would be rude of me not to show up on time.  If anyone would like to meet up for a work out, I would be up for it.
