My world has revolved around fitness and nutrition since I was 13. At that time in my life a dramatic visit to my Doctor gave me the motivation and desire to take control of my own life. Ever since then I have had a passion to not only control my own life, but to help others control theirs as well. We all have hurdles and obstacles to over come but managing the aspects of life that can be controlled makes those hurdles that much easier to handle. Family
I am blessed to have a big wonderful family! Both of my parents come from relatively large families, so I have always had cousins, aunts and uncles in my life. My immediate family consists of a charming brother and sister making me the middle child....without the middle child syndrome of course :)
Education
I graduated from Clemson University in 2004 with a business degree in Marketing and an emphasis in Health Services. Upon graduation I have continued my education earning various certifications including NASM CPT, School of Allied Health Certified Nutritionist and many others. I have studied and researched working with special populations including seniors, post rehabilitation cases and prenatal women.
Goals
My ultimate goal is to become a published author. I love to share my knowledge and enthusiasm of fitness and nutrition with anyone who wants to listen! I am taking steps towards this goal by writing fitness and nutrition articles and constantly continuing my education.
People I'd like to meet
I would love to meet anyone with drive and purpose. I enjoy spending time with people that know who they are, and know where they want to go. People like this inspire me. In terms of celebrities, my favorite actor is Johnny Depp.....so I suppose I wouldn't mind meeting him!
